identifying seeds
This wildflower mix (originating from unnamed sources) didn't germinate so well when I first came back, probably because I used the damp-tissue-paper-in-plastic-cover technique but let it dry out too many times. Some amaranth-looking plant and some others popped up, but that was it: 3 types of plants.
Going through the seeds again, there were at least 23 different types, probably a lot more. I could figure out what a few of them were since their seed shapes were quite unique (marigold, calendula, cornflower), but the others all yet unknown.
I've planted them out today, labelling each with a number corresponding to the photo. Note to self: separating seeds on a piece of paper is a really dumb idea; circling the seeds on a piece of paper doesn't create any sort of separation; round things roll if the surface it's on isn't flat; it's difficult to transport a piece of paper while keeping it flat; small things get blown away by wind. Dumb idea.
And now we wait. Patience, the capacity to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. Why is 'patient' (in the sense of patience) the same word as 'patient' (hospitalised person)?
