cosmic carrots and purple dragon beans
This bunch of carrots seemed to have sat in the soil for ages. They were under the broad broccoli leaves, so perhaps not enough sun and water. On the small end, but they tasted nice and sweet. Purple skin with orange insides.
As for the beans, I'm actually a bit disappointed that the purple streaks are lost when it's cooked. They taste fine (as in okay), but they certainly looked cooler on the plant than on the plate. Perhaps just parfrying will keep its colour and retain a semi-raw crunch.
