chinese apple seeds
Some seeds of the most delicious types of (fushi/fuji) apples* have miraculously germinated. We ate the apples and Mother decided to keep the seeds, only because they were so delicious. They were left to dry on the kitchen counter for a couple of days, then I buried 4 seeds in some potting mix.... and 2 of them have sprung into life! I've repotted them separately and with a bit of luck, they'll grow into little trees.
I'm skeptical that they will bear fruit though, since apple trees need a period of about 2 months in temperatures below 7 degrees in order to start fruiting.
