native bees like daikon flowers
Native [stingless] bees, many of which to a novice looks like an ant-fly holding pollen, have been hovering around the daikon flowers on a couple of occasions. Ever since the rocket started bolting, there's been regular European bees in the garden, but this is the first time hosting a native.
Time to get out the bamboo pieces again and fix up the bee hotel. I want these little guys to stick around!
It's as if this guy (below) is saying, "Come get me, little bee. I'll be waitin' for ya..."![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic0k60qudxWVNONfzgrCO8V1rdMTC6zFjI29B0FJ8-VB6wKXj-0MT4719hyphenhyphenGhGb61fQLr3uTtIKgdzdQjOMKd_MfobRFNDUfPLYxcHfPMslmeskjv7VxIHd5-PtykBVQfBwVblef0TzVKG/s640/Edgeware+Edibles_200821-6532.jpg)
These are the flowers of daikons. The petals have a delicate pink tinge on its tips.
