a little surprise in the letterbox

A had been giving away jade plant cuttings last week after having cleared the pool strip patch to make way for veggies. Today when I peered into the mailbox, there was a little ziplock bag with a cute thank-you note and a lovely bar of Tilley soap.

I had thought about selling the cuttings or making them into little pot plants, but I didn't want to bother with the effort. I guess that sometimes, getting out of it what it's worth doesn't matter so much; if you don't need it, give it to someone else to make their day. Ironically, it's like the MasterCard ad - some things in life are priceless.
