pigfaced flower and a pool pump hat
There's a lot of pigface around the yard, but this is the first time I've seen one flower!
And after some quick research, not only is pigface (love the name) a native plant, it's also edible bush tucker food. It bears a little fruit, which apparently tastes similar to salty apples, but the succulent leaves can also be eaten too, raw or cooked.

I've been rebuilding the roof for the pool pump last week. Ever since I remember, the roof was just some semi-loose polycarbonate sheeting weighed down by some timber and concrete bricks. Using more or less the same materials, being the cheapskate/use-less-stuff person I am, I reconstructed it and added a framed box on top so it can be a little green roof with soil that will be held together with some good ol' pigface.
