update - 13 July
Today:
- shiso seedlings in individual pots
- grape cuttings in babushka pots
- potted mustard greens in front patch, right (FPR)
I've started cutting away the grape vine that's along the pool strip patch (PSP). This spot seems to have the longest hours of sunlight, so it should be put to good use.
The water tank patch (WTP) raised bed support is coming along. The first section is in place already, and once I find some metal brackets, I can attach all three sides and then add soil and compost.
Also, most of the first batch of radish has been harvested! They taste very spicy and a tiny bit bitter. Mum used to make yāncài from radish leaves (and other brassica/Chinese mustard leaves), so I'm testing out her method and recipe for the leaves of these radishes. This deserves a post of its own though.
