milk and mildew

Powdery mildew is officially the worst "bad guy" of the garden. It first appeared on the tomatoes in the Back Strip, then it spread to the mint. Eventually, it made its way to the red mizuna, rocket, and red russian kale. Then there's the front. I'm not sure how exactly it got there, but there's also a bit on the green mizuna (pulled out), red green mustard, and even on the calendula leaves.

Please, fungal spores, go away.

Most of the really badly infected foliage have been cut and thrown, and I'm going to start a weekly regime of spraying diluted milk (approx. 1:10) onto the mouldy leaves. I just hope that it won't reach the tomatoes at the front. That would be dreadfully disappointing.
