rainwater is finally pumped up and ready to go-go

I can safely say that I'm a decent small-scale plumber now.

With a new constant pressure water pump, a hose pipe connector, and some camlock connectors, and after fiddling about with all the various male bits, female bits, bigger thread and smaller thread bits, random plastic bits that have interior threads, nozzles, various other bits and pieces, and a good amount of plumber's tape, the pump is up and running.

This means that I can water the garden with rain water from the rainwater tank - using a spray hose! No more carrying 10L watering cans back and forth for at least an hour each day (... no more biceps?) and feeling guilty about skimping out when it gets too . The water pump is a real game changer.
